Edward Kunryul Park studied at the Eastman School of Music for his Bachelor’s degree under the Head of the Piano Department, Prof. Douglas Humpherys, and studied at the Indiana University with Prof. Reiko Neriki, and completed his master’s degree in University of British Columbia School of Music with Prof. Mark Anderson and Michelle Mares. He also has an Artistic Diploma degree at the Vancouver Academy of Music with Prof. Lee Kum-Sing. His previous private teachers include Kyung-Hee Choi, Sara Davis Buechner, and Kayoko Segawa. As an active collaborator, he has participated in numerous chamber music ensembles and collaboration with other instruments. He was selected to be the pianist for the UBC Choral Union and Chamber Choir, playing extensively in UBC concert venues such as the Roy Barnett Recital Hall and the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. For over 5 years, he has been playing with more than 100 UBC music students so far for their graduation recitals, juries, divisional performances, ensemble, concerto competitions, UBC Choral Union, UBC Chamber Choir and many more. He has been playing with many different instruments, such as Violin, Viola, Cello, Contrabass, Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Singers (all ranges), Saxophone, Guitar, Piano, Tuba, Horn, Percussion and finally Erhu. He is currently a staff pianist at the Douglas College in New Westminster campus.
