Registration Fee 

The non-refundable registration fee of $200 CAD is applicable to all On-Campus and Off-Campus students and must be recevied at the time of the initial submission of the application form. 

Security Deposit 

The refundable security deposit of $100 CAD is applicable to all On-Campus and Off-Campus students and must be recevied at the time of the initial submission of the application form. This fee will be fully refunded upon the satisfactory completition of check-out on the last day of the Academy. 

Extra Private Lessons

For students who wish to have more than 6 private lessons during the two-week Academy, this will be accommodated with a surcharge of $150 CAD per additional private lesson. Please indicate your request for extra private lessons (including the amount you want) on the application form.

Applications postmarked after May 15, 2025 will only be considered subject to availability and a late application fee of $100 CAD.

Reservation Deposits

First reservation deposit, equaling 50% of total fees must be received by May 15, 2025. All fees can be paid in instalments, however are due in full by June 15, 2025. Unless on a payment plan schedule, the arrival of the final Program Fees payment after the May 15 deadline may result in the loss of your reservation.

Cancellation of Reservation

Cancellations of your Reservation must be in writing via mail or email and received by the following dates:

Cancellation received by May 15, 2025: Half of the Program Fees will be refunded.

Cancellation after May 15, 2025: No refund is given.

*Please note that the Initial Application Fee is non-refundable.*

COVID-19 Government Restrictions

VIMA strictly adheres to all Federal and Provincial governments restrictions and recommendations on health. Should there be any government regulations limiting the number of attendees to below 100 by June 15, 2025, the current season of the Academy will be cancelled and ALL paid fees, including the application fee and security deposit, will be refunded in full.

Reservation Deposits

1. Complete Application Form, including a video recording, and signed Terms and Conditions / Waiver form, Medical History and Emergency Contact form, Rules of Conduct form and Visitor Permission Form (if applicable);
2. All applicable fees.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. For students over 18 years of age who request double occupancy: every effort will be made to match you with another student over 18. If not possible, single occupancy will be required.
2. The single occupancy surcharge is $925 CAD. Please indicate your choice of double or single occupancy in the application form.
3. Off-campus students are responsible for their own meals and may not eat or enter the VIMA Cafeteria during the meal times. However, if requested in the application, meal plans for off-campus students can be accommodated. Please indicate this in the application form if applicable to you. A surcharge will apply to this option.
4. The program fee does not include transportation to and from VIMA.
5. The application and program fee or any portion of it is non-refundable.
6. As there is no lifeguard on duty, any water sport activities including swimming, paddle boards & kayaks can only be used under full adult supervision for students under the age of 18.
7. Any sport property (including basketballs, tennis rackets etc.) returned damaged will have replacement fees charged.
8. Teacher selection is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, e.g. illness or injury. Accepted students will be expected to attend the Academy, and there will be no refund for cancellation.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND OPTIONS

Every applicant will have the option of paying in full or paying any amount on the payment page. VIMA accepts partial payments as part of a payment schedule. Please indicate in Step 7 of the applciation form if you want to register for a payment schedule. 

Please note: Credit Card and Debit payments transacted through PayPal incur a 3.5% surcharge, even if paid in full. A credit surcharge of 3.5% will also be applicable for each partial payment. The 3.5% surcharge will not apply when making a full payment through Interac E-Transfer.
